Day 01 - Arrive at Kathmandu Airport (1345 meters)
Reach Kathmandu and our delegate will pick you up at Tribhuwan International airport and drop you at the inn. You can explore the place by visiting the famous Boudhanath temple, Pashupatinath temple, Thamel, etc.
Day 02 - Fly To Lukla (2804 Meters) and Trek TO Phakding (2610 Meters) 3 Hours.
Your day begins with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The duration of the flight is 45 minutes beautiful journey that ends at Tenzing and Hillary airport, situated at 2804 m. After landing at Lukla, our trekking team will meet you and then the trek to Phakding will begin. Initially, the trail goes downill towards the Dudh Koshi River, that flows down the Himalays and crosses underneath the bridges along the way. While on the trek, you get to see the Mani stones, that has buddhist incriptions carved by boulders. The trek is easy and ends at Phakding. Overnight stay will be arranged at Phakding in a lodge/guesthouse.
Day 03 - Trek To Namche Bazaar (3440 meters/11,286 feet) 5:30 Hours
Resume your trek along the banks of Dudh Koshi river. You have to cross this stunning river many times over the thrilling suspension bridges decorated with colorful prayer flags. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, the trail transforms into steep with breathtaking views. Today's last site you reach is Namche Bazaar also called as the Gateway to Everest. It houses many quality restaurants, hotels, internet cafes and a bakery. It is one of the vast villages on the whole Everest trail. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 04 - Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day.
This is the first of the two days reserved for acclimatization. Acclimatization is must on this trek due to continuous change in altitudes. Either you can spend your day by hiking up to Everest view hotel (3880 meter) or explore the Namche bazar. It is advised that you hike a few hundred feet uphill to get properly acclimatized. You also get to visit the Tourist Visitor Center located near the Sagarmatha National Park headquarter, where you can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region.
Day 05 - Trek From Namche Bazaar To Tengboche Monastery (3860 Meters) 5 Hours.
Today's trek goes along the glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi with majestic views of mountains. The last point is Tengboche at 3860 m, where you can see the local monastery. The monastery houses a 20 feet sculpture of Buddha, beautiful ornate wall hangings and the musical instrumemts and robes of the Lamas. You can also expect to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning.
Day 06 - Trek From Tengboche To Dingboche (4350 Meters) 5:30 Hours.
From Tengboche the trail drops to Debouche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of Mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 07 - Acclimatize In Dingboche.
Today would be the second acclimatization day. Start with an optional hike to the Nangkar Tshang (approx. 5016 meters and about 3 to 4 hours round trip) or continue your acclimatization in the Dingboche itself. After having a refreshing breakfast in the shadow of Ama Dablam (6856m/ 22493 ft.) to the south, you will climb the ridge on the north behind the village from where three high peaks such as Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu and Mt. Cho Yu are visible. This will be an ideal acclimatizing excursion. The towering peaks of Cholatse (6440 m/21,126 ft.) and Tawoche (6542 m/ 21,463 ft.) are viewable to the west. As you look northwest, you see an panorama of peaks rising at the head of the Khumbu Khola valley. From a vantage point high on the ridge, you can scan the sweeping Imja Khola valley as well as the picturesque fields and grasslands of Dingboche.
Day 08 - Trek From Dingboche To Lobuche (4910 Meters) 5 Hours.
Today, the trail goes along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. You continue to trek till Lobuche at 4910 m, which is just a few huts at the foot of the giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude. Overnight stay at Guesthouse.
Day 09 - Trek To Everest Base Camp (5365 Meters) Then Back To Gorak Shep.
This would be the D-day of your trip because you will be heading towards the Everest base camp and return to Gorak Shep. The continues along the Khumbu Glacier and goes up to Everest Base Camp at 5365 meters, the closest site to Mt. Everest without any technical task. However you can expect to meet any team who is about the climb the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. From the base camp, you return back to Gorak Shep for the night.
Day 10 - Hike Up To Kalapatthar (5555 Meters) Early In The Morning And Trek Down To Periche (4200 Meters) 7 Hours.
This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of the morning on this day is spent climbing Mt. Kala Patthar, a small peak (by Himalayan standards) at 5555meters. The ascent is demanding, but the climber gets the most magnificent views of peaks such as Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. Later, you make a quick descent to Gorak Shep then climb down to Periche.
Day 11 - Trek To Namche Bazaar (3441 Meters) 5:30 Hours.
From Pheriche you take a slightly different route down to Orhso, then to Pangboche village. Here you will visit the oldest monastery in the region that contains what is said to be the scalp and bones of a Yeti or the abominable snowman. Leaving the mountains behind us, our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at an elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters. We arrive back to Namche Bazaar in the afternoon. Overnight stay at Guesthouse.
Day 12 - Trek To Phakding (2640 Meter/8661 feet) 9 km/6 hours approx.
Leave Namche Bazaar and descend to Phakding Village on the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. Leaving Namche Bazaar, we have a big descent today to Phakding. If the weather is clear, take photos as much as you can of your final views of the peaks. The peaks will not be visible once you reach Phakding.
Day 13 - Trek To Lukla (2,860 Meter/9,383 Ft, 7 km/3-4 Hours Approx.)
Today is a challenging final day of trekking from Phakding to Lukla as you start with a descent, then climb 600 m; to reach Lukla. Although you are travelling the same route down but you have completely different views. You walk through the Sherpa villages noticing an impressive faith in Buddhism and a culture of prayer stones and flags. After reaching Lukla, just give rest to your legs and recall the moments of Everest.
Day 14 - Fly Lukla To Kathmandu
Today, you fly back to Kathmandu after our long mountain journey. The early morning flight drops you in Kathmandu. You can rest and relax throughout the day at the hotel. If you want then you explore the market and purchase some gifts or nepalese goods for your closed ones. To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, you will get a farewell dinner at Nepali Restaurant where you can pick your meal from their carefully crafted menu that offer a wide range of choices. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 15 - Free Day To Explore More Highlights Of The Kathmandu Valley.
Enjoy a free day exploring on your own or you can join us for an optional city tour. The tour is likely to feature Kathmandu Durbar Square or the ancient city of Bhaktapur. The reminder of the day is at your leisure to shop or relax before your journey home. (Note: Reserve day for return flight from Lukla in case of inclement weather).
Day 16 - Final Departure
The journey has come to an end today! There is nothing to do, you just exchange the photos with your travel companions. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. A representative will drop you off at the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. Trip Ends!
Flights to Kathmandu are usually scheduled for the morning because the wind can create problem to fly the aircraft in the afternoon, but sometime the flight time can be delayed due to bad weather and other reason that are beyond our command.
