The ultimate nature camping experience for families!

Clint and Aimee from Primal Influence along with Carly from award-winning Natureweavers have teamed up to bring you this unique family nature camp - the first of its kind in Queensland!

Located on a bushy private property in the countryside just outside of the Sunshine Coast in the beautiful Mary Valley, this 3-day camping experience for kids and parents will include a huge variety of skill-building nature-based activities, fully catered healthy meals, campfires + stacks of fun! ⛺

>> WILDTIME ACTIVITIES + EXPERIENCES << 🍂 Make Friends with Nature - with Carly: Natureweavers Forest School invites children to Make Friends with Nature. This program will see your child engage in bush skills, nature awareness, storytelling and games, supported by experienced mentors. Being Winter, our adventures will focus on the element of ‘fire’, and the exploration of light and shadow that arises. Children will learn how to build and use fire, will explore the concepts of light and shadow as they relate to the landscape, learn the slow art of whittling and cordage making, and construct lanterns or ‘light cubbies’ from natural materials available in this wilds pace. Children will place their lanterns throughout the site, and then invite their families to join them on a night walk on the Saturday evening. 🐵 Primal Play for Kids Classes - with Clint Clint's Primal Play Classes are full of natural movement, games and activities allowing each child to participate and succeed in no matter what their fitness and agility level is. Some games will include physical interaction with each other, as well as other essential human skills such as balance, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, jumping, crawling + lots more. There is no expectation on kids to achieve any particular level or reach a specific outcome. It's a combination of structured and unstructured play all aimed at encouraging kids to get in, have a go, find joy and learn new games and skills that will have positive influence on all movement-based activities they do in the future. 🍒 Bushfood Foraging + Sampling - with Aimee The camp area is covered in native bushfoods as well as various edible 'weeds' and Aimee will introduce you to those that are in season and available to eat. We'll make and enjoy tea made with freshly picked leaves, use different flavours in our campfire meals, and eat foods straight from the ground and trees! 🌱 Natural Fitness for Adults Workshops - with Clint The kids won't be the only ones enjoying natural movement, games and play... the adults can get in on the fun too! Clint's Natural Fitness Workshops include a variety of activities and advice to help adults learn to move better and feel better. Natural human movement activities will help campers learn to move better, build coordination, balance, agility and confidence for true function in everyday life, allow human touch and interaction, promote laughter and joy, provide stress relief, blood flow throughout the muscles and joints, help ease inflammation, promote better sleep and to have a heap of fun! ☯️ Rock Stacking + Mindfulness - with Aimee Parents have the opportunity to join in on a Rock Stacking + Mindfulness Workshop to learn to become more aware of thought patterns and emotional responses that could be affecting communication and conversations with others, choices, perspectives and day-to-day behaviors. It's not about 'fixing' or changing thoughts and attitudes, it's simply about identifying without judgement or expectation. Not only does this help create a better understanding of and connection to oneself but the connection to nature with earthing, fresh air and natural movement can have incredible health benefits. 🍴 Food / Cooking Chats + Classes - with Aimee While the kids are entertained the adults can benefit from learning about healthy camp cooking, which can easily be used at home, seeing how simple and affordable ingredients can be used to create nourishing and delicious meals for the whole family. Aimee will be preparing the main meals over the weekend, providing many of the snack and dessert options, and will be available to chat to about ingredients, flavour combinations, and cooking techniques. There'll even be a hands-on cooking workshop for parents with a Burger Making Class happening for Saturday's lunch! 🌟 Campfire Chats + Star Gazing Sit back in your camp chair, relax and warm up around the fire, get to know your fellow campers and hosts and possibly make new positive connections and friends. At night, if the clouds stay away, wander up the hill away from the camp lights and gaze at the starry sky above before heading to bed. Meals may include... - Camp oven roast chook and veggies for dinner - Fried eggs and sausages and/or bacon for brekkie - Paleo granola with coconut milk and yogurt for brekkie - Lettuce 'bun' burgers for lunch - Fresh fruits for brekkie and snack times - Paleo bars for snack times - Camp oven beef or lamb stew for dinner - Paleo marshmallows for dessert (to toast over the fire, yum!) We aim to use as much organic/spray-free produce, free-range/grass-fed meat, and locally-sourced products as possible.
