LDS Singles Whitewater Rafting Weekend Getaway

Let's go whitewater rafting!!!!!

Join other LDS Singles on a fun weekend getaway to Sequoia National Park. Drive up Friday after work or take the day off and explore the area. We'll be camping Friday and Saturday nights, and returning home on Sunday. Saturday will be a fun day of whitewater rafting then we'll hit the town for dinner and a night out. Plus we can hear the river from our camping area. This trip is all about having a good time and meeting new people so think of new friend!

Cost: $180 per person

On Friday check in will be from 5pm - 10pm. Come up early and explore the area or just head up after work. Dinner is on your own tonight

On Saturday after breakfast. We'll out for a full day of whitewater rafting. The adventure will begin with a safety talk, then they'll take us down a stretch of the river that has class III rapids, then shuttle back to the start to take us down the same rapids. Time for lunch on the river then back on the river for two more times. Don't worry we'll be mixing the rafts up giving you chance to meet more people.

Everyone must wear a life jacket and helmet (both provided) as well as sturdy footwear - no sandals, crocs, or bare feet permitted. Actual trip length in terms of number of hours will depend on the speed the river is flowing that day.

After rafting we'll eat dinner in restaurants again and then meet back at the campsite for somores and games around the campfire.

On Sunday after breakfast we'll pack up camp and prepare to head home.

Optional:

- 15 minute hike to the hot springs on the way back! Most of the tubs are underwater currently but there is one (small) tub that is open. Plus it's a nice spot along the river to hang out, enjoy the scenery, and jump off the rope swing. - Take a stroll through the giant trees! They are at a higher altitude where the weather is cooler. Several are 1,500 years old and 20 feet thick. There is one tree inside which over 20 adults can fit. The path is about 1/2 mile long and paved. - Head off on one of the other amazing hikes in the area, go mountain biking or climbing. There's so much to see up there.

Sorry, no pets allowed at this event.
